More Than Just Dance

At Converge, we're passionate about creating not only amazing dancers, but amazing people. Our studio is built on three core values: excellence, kindness, and inclusion.

Our Story

Dance has always been at the heart of my life. From growing up as a competitive dancer, to performing on my college dance team, to dancing professionally in the NBA, movement has always been my passion. Alongside dance, I pursued a career as a physical therapist, and I dreamed of blending these two worlds to create opportunities for kids with special needs.

That dream became a reality when I launched my first adaptive dance program. What started with 13 dancers quickly grew to over 100 students with special needs and a full performance schedule—the community couldn’t get enough of these inspiring kids. Over time, the program expanded across the state, and even became the foundation for the first-ever NBA Dance Team for kids with special needs.

As I continued teaching advanced technique classes and coaching with the Cleveland Cavaliers dance and entertainment teams, I noticed something else: the profound impact dance education and coaching can have on young people—not just on their technical abilities, but on their confidence and self-worth. At the same time, my own daughter was falling in love with dance, and I struggled to find a program near us that combined high-level training with a healthy, uplifting environment.

I realized that if I wanted to see something better for the next generation, I needed to create it.

Converge Performing Arts Center was born from this vision—a place where all my passions could come together under one roof. Here, we hold our dancers to a high standard of excellence, providing professional-level training while also nurturing the whole person. Our mission goes beyond dance steps: we focus on health, wellness, self-esteem, and confidence, while cultivating an open, loving, and supportive culture.

At Converge, our adaptive dance program continues to thrive and grow, inspiring kindness, inclusion, and connection throughout our community. We believe that through dance, we can not only develop extraordinary performers, but also strong, confident, and compassionate individuals.

All of these passions and experiences have converged into one home for dancers—Converge Performing Arts Center.
